Food, Inc.

I think I've seen snippets of this video before, but not in detail -- thanks to transatlantic rower Roz Savage for the pointer. And with my recent commitment to getting on the ball with health, viewing this film is a must.

Michael Pollan of Food Rules and The Omnivore's Dilemma guides it; he's long advocated what at the very least would qualify as a sensible change from eating food products to eating real food (e.g. "If it come at you through the window of your car, it's not real food"; "If your grandmother wouldn't recognize it or couldn't pronounce it, it's not real food"). This film graphically illustrates why -- visuals trump text for getting a message to really hit home.

If you've ever considered eating better to lose weight, reduce your cancer risk, sharpen  your memory, stabilize your moods, stave off dementia, get more energy -- or do any of these for your children and family -- check this film out, on DVD or Blu-Ray.
